Can you really be happy in a world like we live in today?
If so, what would it take to make you happy?
In Matthew 5:1-12, we have the opening lines of Jesus’ famous “Sermon on the Mount” in which He gives us eight positive statements about happiness we call “The Beatitudes.”
It is interesting to me that of all the subjects Jesus could have chosen to preach about when He started this sermon, He chose – How to Be Happy!

The popular idea of happiness is that you must have the right circumstances. King Solomon (Ecclesiastes 1-2) ascribed to this mentality and can save us MUCH time and heartache as he testifies to the futility of searching for happiness in the wrong things.
