Fragrances have the power to take the mind great distances in miles and years, instantly filling it with faces of people long gone, places thought forgotten, or experiences of the past - whether they be treasured or despised.

Have you noticed that every time you take a step forward in your spiritual life, opposition is not far behind? It could be any number of steps such as a greater commitment to daily Bible study and prayer, putting more priority on peace and joy in your home, or cleaning up your conversation. When God’s people start doing what God says, Satan launches an attack.

It’s a stage show that’s inspiring, educational, downright amusing at times, and absolutely free of charge! What is it? Nature. Or, in God’s words, “the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the beasts…and every thing that creeps upon the earth.” Genesis 1:28 We’re usually too preoccupied to be amused or awed by it very often, but this “show” goes on around the clock!

You could feel the excitement in the air. Why, practically the whole city was rejoicing, laughing and singing and dancing in the streets, and - what’s this?! The king is leading the pack!

If you’ve ever been around preschoolers for any length of time, it probably didn’t take you long to notice how many questions one can ask in a day. Good grief! It’s almost a non-stop interrogation from the moment they open their eyes every morning until they close them each night.
