School of Leaders is the avenue through which we attain our vision of DISCIPLING and CONNECTING people. Participation is not required for membership. We feel that it can be a great asset to your spiritual growth, but your participation in it is strictly voluntary. It is, however, a requirement for those who would like to serve in a position of leadership such as teaching a small group, leading in worship, preaching, counseling, or facilitating a Bible study that is associated with Freedom River Church.  Courses run for periods of 10-12 weeks each with one week mid-term break. School of Leaders is not in session between Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays nor during a portion of the summer vacation weeks. These semesters are as follows:

1st Semester:               The Seven Principles of Experiencing God

This course is based on the study, “Experiencing God,” by Henry Blackaby and Claude King, and it will open your eyes to the reality and relativity of God. Through this study, you will learn how to recognize His presence, hear His voice, and know His will for your life.  Once you are aware of these principles you, nor your perception of God, will ever be the same again!

2nd Semester:             Ten Laws of Your Mind, Mouth, Money, Marriage, and Ministry

These practical truths from God’s Word will enlighten you to a whole new approach to everything in your life - from your tongue to your money! God wants to impact ALL of you. Only as we allow these truths to infiltrate everything about us will we realize the full scope of what Christ came to do in and through us.

3rd Semester:              The Truth About Spiritual Gifts - Mysteries Revealed

The misconceptions concerning the spiritual gifts are too many to number. This study will help eradicate the confusion you may feel and set you free to be all that God has created YOU to be. No pressure – just truth that will help you tune in to who YOU are and what GOD’s purpose is for your life.   

4th Semester:                 Living Brave - Taking it to the Next Level

No more excuses. It’s time to take it to the next level! The truths set forth in this course will blow a fresh wind of hope and inspiration into your spirit.
