Our Beliefs
About God...
There is one God, who is infinitely perfect, existing eternally in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is true God and true man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin, Mary. He died upon the cross and rose from the dead, and all who believe in Him are justified by His shed blood. He is now at the right hand of the Majesty on high as our great High Priest. The Holy Spirit came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every Believer in Christ, and that He is an abiding helper, teacher, and guide.
About The Scriptures…
The Old and New Testaments, inerrant as originally given, were verbally inspired by God and are a complete revelation of His will for the salvation and growth of mankind. They constitute the divine and only rule of Christian faith and practice.
About Man ...
Man was created by the special act of God, in His own image, and is the crowning work of His creation. By his free choice, man ruined his relationship with God because of his willful disobedience and brought upon himself both physical and spiritual death. Since that time, all men are born with a sinful nature and, as such, are separated from the life of God and can only be saved through the atoning work of Jesus Christ.
About Salvation…
Salvation has been provided through Jesus Christ for all those whom God calls into a personal relationship with Himself. We are saved through faith in the completed work of Christ on the cross as being sufficient for the removal of our sins. Thus, it is a gift, which is given to those who call upon the name of the Lord.
About Baptism and the Lord’s Supper...
One of the first steps you should take after becoming a Christian is to be water baptized. To be water baptized (or immersed in water) is simply a way you can identify yourself as a follower of Jesus Christ, giving testimony of the fact that you have buried your old life and committed yourself to a new life with Him.
The Lord’s Supper, or communion, is done in remembrance of the life and blood of Jesus, which was sacrificed for our sins. Only those who have received Christ as their Savior should partake.
About Last Things…
The Bible teaches that there will be a bodily resurrection for all people everywhere. For those who followed Christ, it will be a resurrection unto life to be lived in the eternal presence of God. For those who chose not to follow Him, it will be a resurrection unto judgment resulting in being separated from God throughout eternity.
The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ could happen at any moment and it will be personal and visible. This is the hope of those who follow Him and provides us with an incentive to holy living and faithful, joyous service.
