The Consequences of Sin |
Psalm 51 |
|
| Can a Christian sin? I know you’re saying to yourself, “Pastor, what are you talking about? Of course, a Christian can sin.” Believe it or not, there are groups of Christian theologians that teach the concept of sinless perfection and purport that if you sin after you come to Christ, He cancels your reservation in Heaven, and you must go through the whole process again. The Bible simply does not teach this. As a matter of fact, everything the Bible says about our relationship with Him and His power to love and hold us is in direct conflict with the sin and throw-away doctrine.
Though the Bible doesn’t teach that sin as a Christian separates us from salvation, it does make it clear that sin has consequences. If you make poor choices, you will have poor results. What kinds of consequences does sin bring to a Believer’s life?

Provisions For The Journey |
Genesis 1 |
|
| When they had accumulated everything that God meant for them to receive in Egypt, He placed them in an uncomfortable position. You cannot afford to believe that the heat you are now in has come to kill you. You must believe that it has come to develop you! If God wanted to kill you He could have done it long ago, before He invested so much in you. |

Some Provisions Are Temporary |
Exodus 1 |
|
| Many of God’s provisions are not supposed to last. They are intended to incubate you. Don’t hold on too long in fear that nothing else is going to come your way. God has many ways to bless you, and those ways change as He walks you from “seed form” to full fruit! |

Daily Provisions Are Uncomfortable |
Matthew 6 |
|
| The wilderness is an anxious, troublesome place. You’ve considered the possibility that the day may come when you would be shaken by loss, but all of your survival scenarios haven’t worked out like you thought they would. People haven’t come through for you like you imagined they would. Deals haven’t broken that should have. You’re isolated and have a very real fear that you’ve been forsaken! GOD IS WEANING YOU AND TEACHING YOU INDEPENDENCE. Development produces independence. You are no longer dependent upon the benevolence of your host. |

Permanant Provision Is Possible |
Genesis 22 |
|
| In the process of providing for His Vision, God takes you through seasons and locations that trouble you. If you’re not careful you can become “hooked” on trouble. You can develop a mentality that suggests to you that you will ALWAYS barely make it or just get by. Please understand that ALL of these things God has brought you through were designed to bring you to a place of PERMANENT PROVISION! |

God Is My Source |
John 15 |
|
| The very first command that God gave to mankind was “be fruitful and multiply….” In order for me to be fruitful, God must be in it with me. I can afford to lose friends, family, money, or anything else, but I can’t afford to lose Him. Sometimes God puts me on the roller coaster so I can learn something from the ride. He doesn’t want me to get hooked on one level when He has prepared a greater one for me! |

Challenge to Your Vision |
Numbers 14 |
|
| Most of the spies that went into the Promised Land only saw trouble with God’s provision. Don’t get hooked on divine benevolence and supernatural welfare! The enemy will always put a Goliath in front of your kingdom. |

The Reality of the Resurrection |
1Corinthians 15 |
|
| Corinth was a city filled with confusion. As a major “Port” city, people from all cultures, races, and religious backgrounds rambled through its streets. The infant Christian Church was barely breathing and had enough trouble grasping the most basic principles of Christ, much less the dynamic concept of the Resurrection. Oh, they believed that Jesus rose from the grave, but they had no confidence that they would join Him in this miraculous feat. Paul intertwines instruction about Christ’s resurrection from the dead with a great deal about ours. |

Not Wrong...Just Different Part 1 |
Genesis 1 |
|
| It was in the plan of God, even before the world was formed, to create two distinct genders of mankind: MALE and FEMALE. The obvious inference is that masculinity is to be distinguished from femininity. Males have certain qualities, drives, and desires that females do not have and visa versa. The problem with this is that whichever side of the human race you belong, the other half is something of a mystery to you! We are different by design! Proverbs 24:3 instructs us, “Through skillful and Godly wisdom is a family built, and by understanding it is strengthened... (Amplified Version). God wants us to be blessed by the differences, but we must study and seek Him to fully receive our true relational strength. |
