Isolation is a self-focused, reclusive mentality. Overcoming self-centeredness and overcoming isolation are two of the biggest challenges of a single Christian. To be single is to be free to mix, minister, and mentor without restrictions (see I Corinthians 7:29-35). A person who is unmarried should take care not to succumb to loneliness and isolation, because then his life becomes totally self-centered.
